After many years of hearing people talk about the Northern Lights, I finally got to see them for myself. To say they were breathtaking is an understatement. To be able to see them with the naked eye is something to behold. I was told by one of the old timers that they used to see them all the time when he was young and that they called them the Merry Dancers. As they travelled by bicycle home from the dances they would often see them overhead. Are they more frequent now because we have notice of when to look out for them or were they always there, and the older generation were out and about at night a lot more? I hope you enjoy my selection of the Merry Dancers.
