My father, who is sadly passed now, could forecast the weather by looking at the hill, the clouds or the sea. He always said that rainbows were a sign of unsettled weather. Living in Ireland, the weather is often unsettled, meaning frequent rain showers and cloud, It is one of my favorite times to capture the changing light. You have seconds to try to capture what you see, before the wind blows and the scene changes. I have lost count of the pictures I have missed because I wasn’t quick enough. Luckily, what you catch instead is often just as good.
